Using the Sun's Energy

My class built solar cookers for their last science unit this year. We would really like for the Nigerien people to use them so that they don't have to spend so much money on wood and use the sun's energy instead.
Here is the first model using a calabash.

This is the second model using a metal box.

We cooked a simple quiche in 2 1/2 hours.

Rice was very simple and cooked in about 2 hours. We also cooked brownies and stew.
