Australian Christmas

The Christmas party this year was combined with the end-of-the-Australia unit party.

First the students painted boomerangs and cooked damper. Damper is bread cooked on a stick over a fire.

Then we ate the damper along with the pavlova and lamingtons. The damper could be eaten with vegemite on it if the students were brave enough.

To end it all off, we went back to the classroom to open gifts and say goodbye to Simon who will not be returning after the break.
